Rooms and facilities

The main building of Can Còdol de Fluvià consists of three very spacious floors of approximately 400m2 each. Your group will have exclusive access to the entire second floor. All our bedrooms include fully equipped bathrooms, central heating and modern ceiling fans. There are extra communal toilets on every floor and we provide free fiber optic high-speed internet throughout the house.

Ground floor

The impressive central hall, featuring beautiful domed ceilings, functions as a dining area and offers direct access to both the upper floors and the garden with its swimming pool.
The ground floor also houses a library / coffee corner, that could be used as a private meeting room, and an extra bedroom en suite, for example for the event organizer.

first floor

The monumental staircase leads to the owners’ private quarters on the first floor, where two spacious and elegantly appointed suites are located. Accommodating up to four guests, these exclusive suites are available upon request and subject to an additional charge. The pool table located in the first-floor hall is available for use by all guests until 10:00 p.m.

SECOND floor

Your group will have exclusive access to the entire second floor with nine double rooms, a spacious common lounge area,
a separate meeting room and a kitchenette. Each bedroom has several windows overlooking the estate and a private bathroom with toilet, sink and a rain shower. We can host a maximum of 18 guests here.

Do we rent the entire property?

Can Còdol de Fluvià is available for one group at the time. You will have more than 400 m2 of indoor space at your disposal and an outside area of 6 ha for your group or family only. Hidden in the forest is a beautiful circular wooden platform of approximately 50 m², ideal for morning exercises or yoga. The hostess Inge and host JeanPaul live in the mansion and are always near to help you. They will answer all sorts of questions, can provide you with extra services, such as transportation, guided tours or excursions, and guarantee your best possible stay at the estate.

Is there a garden or terrace around the house?

The six-hectare estate of Can Còdol de Fluvià consists of a spacious enclosed garden, a three-hectare forest, a picking garden in the making and several hectares of ‘wild’ land. The entire estate is accessible to our guests. The Fluvià river meanders just 200m from the estate.

Are meals included? Can we prepare our own?

The rental of Can Còdol de Fluvià does not include breakfast, but it is available at an additional charge as a shared buffet. Upon request, our professional chef can also prepare a generous lunch or dinner. Alternatively, guests are welcome to cook for themselves using the fully equipped outdoor professional kitchen, featuring a five-burner induction hob, two large barbecues, and multiple refrigerators, among other facilities.

Are towels and bedsheets available?

We offer crisp sheets, duvets, blankets and soft towels to all our guests. The towels provided are for use in the rooms. Please bring your own towels for the pool and the beach. On request there is a professional washing machine available, situated in the laundry room on the ground floor.

What is the minimum/maximum group size?

Officially, we can accommodate up to 18 guests, but additional space may be available. Please contact us to discuss possibilities and limitations. The house is accessible to guests aged 18 and over.

How often will the rooms be cleaned?

All rooms are cleaned on arrival. If you wish a mid-stay cleaning service for your room, this can be arranged at an extra cost. Please contact us for more information.

Is the house accessible by public transport?

High-speed trains to and from Paris, Madrid and Barcelona Sants stop at the international train station Figueres-Vilafant, ±20 car minutes from the house. There are taxis in front of the station (±€20). Girona airport is ±40 car minutes, Barcelona airport ±90 car minutes away. We can help you with local taxis or train tickets. Contact us for further details. For longer stays we advise to rent a car.

How close is the nearest beach?

The long sandy beaches of Sant Pere Pescador are easy to reach by bike. Via a car-free path along the Fluvià river you can cycle the seven km in 30 to 40 picturesque minutes.

Are shops nearby in the vicinity?

There is a small shop with essentials and fresh fruit on walking distance in the centre of Torroella de Fluvià (500 m). The nearest supermarkets are in St. Pere Pescador (a nice 5 km bike ride from the house). You can find a variety of (bigger) stores and shops in L’Escala or Figueres (15 km from the house). On Wednesday’s there is a vegetable market in St. Pere Pescador.

Do you have bikes for rent?

We offer free bikes to all our guests. We also have a storage and repair space available for your own bicycles.

Is parking available at the house?

Yes, we have free parking on site available for all cars.

Is it a good environment for outdoor activities?

Can Còdol the Fluvià is surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. You will find charming trails straight from the house i.e. to the beach or you can choose to take the car and visit protected nature reserves, forests, vineyards, castles, monasteries and more. All at relatively short distances.
