Can Còdol de Fluvià offers a small-scale, boutique creative residency in rural Catalonia, in the Alt Empordà region. The residency is designed for professional writers, filmmakers, sound designers and composers who require privacy, comfort and uninterrupted working time to advance a specific project.

This is a self-directed, application-based residency, well suited to artists developing projects supported by institutional or public funding.
There is no public programme, no workshops and no communal structure.
The emphasis is on autonomy, discretion and high-quality working conditions
in a calm and professionally maintained environment.

The residency is offered primarily between October and March, when the estate is at its most calm and suitable for focused work.

THE CASITA

The residency takes place in the Casita, a private and self-contained 110 m² apartment with its own entrance. While connected to the main house, the apartment maintains full privacy and autonomy during your stay.
The Casita offers: Fully equipped kitchen • Private bathroom with shower • Washing machine • Comfortable workspace with natural light • Access to a small private garden area

High-speed fiber internet (220 Mbps download / 150 Mbps upload) supports professional remote work and file transfers.

THE SETTING

Can Còdol de Fluvià is set on 6 hectares of private land in the Alt Empordà region. The estate provides direct access to the Fluvià river and nearby natural areas.

The surroundings are quiet, open and non-touristic, allowing for sustained concentration and long working days.

Bicycles are available for residents to explore the countryside.

During residency periods, the estate is managed in a way that prioritises a calm working environment.

Selected applicants may be invited for a short online conversation before confirmation.

* Reduced rates may be considered for longer stays or funded projects. Formal invoices and written confirmations are available for grant applications or reporting purposes. 
The Casita is also offered as a holiday accommodation. The creative residency is a separate, application-based stay.
